Voted for the 2 guys. I'd have preferred a mix with a man and a woman with Jack and Lilli, but I felt bad for Joel and felt an eye coloration transformation was meh for a semi-final.
Merit. Jack has so far married and had two children while working for fortune 500 companies. Ashley has successfully acquired some interesting contracts. I believe Jack is more impressive. The merging of female beauty and power with Jack's strength and persuasion is going to be amusing.
Lili: Regional championships are still championships. I prefer that the champion advance, not the young man with a sob story.
I'm surprised at the hostility toward Joel in some of these comments. Consider that of the remaining four contestants, Joel is probably the least economically secure. The others, if deprived of the traits that allow them to do their jobs, can afford to take a month off of work until they get their traits back - but judging by how the trait transfer process seems to work, if Joel loses, he'll literally lose his eyes and go blind. You think Walmart won't let him go after that, especially if he can't convince them that his eyesight will magically return in a month? But apparently, some of us have the attitude that the man who needs help the most deserves it the least.
Luckily Joel seems to be pulling ahead in the polls, for his sake. I wonder if the 'beautiful' adjective will save his eyes if they do end up being transferred away.
basically, sob stories annoy me, since "woe is me" is IMO never something you say even if you think it, saying the things Joel does is the mark of someone that want to be pitied. Nah i'm going for the girl rather then Joel, she actually worked hard enough to win a tournament, so she got some fire to her.

ReplyDeleteRight now, the polls are agreeing with your votes.
DeleteAshley and Joel.
ReplyDeleteJack gaining female beauty does him no good.
Joel shouldn't have advanced out of the quarters, and advancing because he has a sob story is the worst reason for somebody to advance.
Sob stories tend to work well, if the poll is anything to show for.
