DeleteToday's caption made me think of this and it's kinda specific so feel free to shoot me down. Would it be possible to do one where shapeshifters are a known quantity with a government that seeks to employ them while at the same time be safe from them. What I had in mind was such a shapeshifter was caught by the system who locks him between "jobs" in what they think is his real body while unfortunately for the shapeshifter was just a fake identity he had spent a lot of time creating. Again if it's too much work don't worry about it.

I remember a concept from another captioner that has unfortunately stopped posting and I thought maybe you could have a crack at it if you wanted to. The concept was a "blending potion" that would transform the drinker into someone that would fit in the group he was standing in at that specific moment while altering their memories to make them know the new "you". For example a criminal gets caught by the police and before they can handcuff him he downs the potion and is transformed into an officer while the others get confused and wonder how the perp disappeared.
ReplyDeleteSimilarly the idea I thought of using this concept was a wedding crasher uses the potion to be safe from getting kicked out but unfortunately for him the bride herself had got cold feet and done a runner. The magic takes this opportunity and makes him the new bride.
The potion doesn't transform you into someone that already exists but into a new person that others suddenly have recollections of without deleting the real you from memory. Also I think it makes for a better story if the character is a little or quite a bit over his head when it comes to its use and doesn't know if the effects are temporary or permanent.
I always love unintended consequences with powers one doesn't understand! I have another idea that was requested that has a decent amount of overlap with your idea.
DeleteThe other concept was through some power the protagonist would modify his mentality and eventually his body to fit roles he didn't understand. The general idea would be he would slowly transform from an antisocial, unstudious, atheist, large, white college guy to a sociable, studious, muslim, small, black woman. He would do this through a series of changes with a self-hypnosis technique; which he would do inadvertently at times.
Eventually he regretted a lot of his changes, losing himself to them in some respects. But the changes once made are impossible to reverse due to the nature of the hypnosis.
I do really like the idea of fitting in to the wedding scene. I might make a smaller cap based on that idea. I'm not a huge fan of reality alteration, removes the consequences of the change IMO. Same opinion on identity death.
DeleteIt's not really reality alteration in the sense that his old identity still exists. His wife will remember the new him as one of her BFF from high school but still wonder where her husband disappeared to. He also doesn't get any memory from this new life. But I get what you mean, it takes away a certain amount of risk by creating an identity he can fall back on.

Now that you rephrased it I find the idea more appealing. I'll add the idea to my docs. I feel like a potion doesn't make much sense in the context, so I'll probably change it a bit. Maybe a sort of magic totem that tops into ancient djinn magic or something would work.

DeleteI'm not afraid to say no to a request (well usually I just don't work on it, haha). Sometimes I'll try something to get out of my comfort zone but I'm doing this more for fun and to practice writing so I don't work on things I don't enjoy.
Are there specific themes you are looking for when it comes to requests?
ReplyDeleteI view requests as a style of community brainstorming. So I think limiting them to specific themes is counter-productive.
DeleteHowever, I'm more likely to bite on requests that have some similar aspects with my other captions. Namely; trickery, transfer of power, unintended consequences, manipulating mechanics that are partly/mostly out of the protagonist control, etc. I tend to focus more on the mechanics of the change than the consequences.
All I really ask though, is that you put some thought into your ideas. Which I think you, greg, have done well to do so far. They don't have to be complex necessarily, but they should at least have a unique attribute about them (not something like, "a highschool boy swaps with his hot teacher and he checks himself out in the mirror." That's too simple IMO)
I've been wanting to come up with a good story for a 'friend's girlfriend' swap with a more wholesome ending where the new girl falls in love with her former friend turned boyfriend. So if you want a specific theme, there's one! :)
For the "friends's girlfriend swap". A brother and sister (twins) discovered long ago when they were very young that they had the ability either to swap or transform into each other. They used this ability first during their school years to get themselves out of trouble and later on for their business that they build together.
DeleteShe had confessed this ability to her boyfriend (that she met through her brother) who had witnessed it, and not being exactly comfortable with it had them promise to stop using it. But due to an emergency they did and behind his back.
That's when disaster struck. The sister was hit by a vehicle while "being her brother" and the shock sent her into a coma. They had never tried to switch when one of them wasn't awake, and it turn out they couldn't. The brother decides that it's better to try and hide the switch until his sister wakes up.
But as time goes on and the sister is still unconscious, the brother finds himself stuck playing the "loving girlfriend", a role that as time pass is becoming less and less of an act.
Hmmm. I like it. I think I'd change it a bit, I think it would be interesting if it was the brother in his own body that falls into a coma; then his sister, trying to help, switches their bodies. She was always much more capable of controlling the swapping than her brother was. Unfortunately, her efforts don't revive the brother's body, and the brother in his sister's body is unable to get the swap to work again while his male body with his sister's mind is in a coma.
DeleteI'm not sure if I want the boyfriend to be aware of the swapping before the accident, maybe the siblings had stopped swapping as much while they were entering puberty.
It would be fun to go into an aftermath where the brother really wants to swap with his sister to be with the boyfriend. A strange love triangle ensues.

DeleteI just saw We're the Millers on Prime and thought the concept of people having to pretend to be a family might do for a good caption. Maybe officers are tasked with an undercover assignment pretending to be a new family who just moved in in a wealthy neighborhood and cozy up with with a known drug kingpin as well as his wife and kids. Or maybe from the point of view of criminals, a group is tasked with bringing a new shipment of drugs from across the border and figure appearing as couple and kids will make it easier to go unnoticed. Unforeseen events in both case could make it so that they have to stay in character far longer than expected.

DeleteHello, with the recent animal swap caption, I was thinking of you doing something similar, but this time with a cat. It starts with a girlfriend being jealous to how much her boyfriend pampers his pet cat, and his adoration to it has gone to irritating levels. She just wants to get rid of it, but with him being a stay-at-home dad he will noticed the long time gap of the cat and her disappearance and instantly linking the two together, so she decides to be a little creative by claiming it ran away and with the use of body swap bracelets that her company has been working on, as she knows the cat wouldn't normally leave the house, much.less the frontyard, so then she will force her to leave while she is inside her body. The swapped should be for thirty minutes ,and by the end they should swapped back no matter the distance, but as she headed to the park it started to rain dropping water on the bracelet and instantly shorting out. Minutes, turn to an hour, and soon the horror realization came to her to the situation she trapped herself in, and worst when coming home she is met with the sight of the cat, in her own body having sex with her boyfriend. She soon realized that despite having weird mannerisms, the cat is fastly adapting to her body, using the situation to not only get more intimate with her master but to also make this swap permanent as to trick him that she is her girlfriend.

Maybe one of them has feelings for the other that is revealed after the swap? And maybe one or both of them want to mess up the swap class device somehow? IDK, be creative! How about this: They've been friends for years and she is the only one she trusts not to abuse her body in some way. He keeps this promise. Over the months he begins to love Lauren's body but he doesn't want to steal her life. But it turns out that Lauren always wanted to be a boy and asks James if they can stayed swapped forever. He agrees and eventually they start dating.

DeleteI had another thought. You have a group of bank robbers operating around the country. Except one member of the band has an ace up his sleeve that he keeps using to infiltrate the banks without getting caught. A medallion that allows him to change his appearance to make it easier to research a location as a security guard for example or a bank teller and then disappear without any risk of getting caught. Except this guy absolutely refuses to share it with the other members of the team, and after nearly getting caught and seeing this guy laughing about it without a care in the world they decide to hide the medallion. Leaving their partner stuck in the last form he was using and on the run like any of them.

DeleteI kept hesitating between a spellbook and a medallion. I had figured that someone who keeps reciting a spell will necessarily memorize it at one point and not require the book so I switched to a magical object. But yes I forgot that the others could then use it. Well maybe they can now and he's the only one stuck or maybe it needs a mix of the 2 with a medallion that acts as a focus but requires some mumbo jumbo.

However, for the sake of saving travelling time and rocket fuel, she will not physically fly there. Instead, only her mind will be transmitted to the research facility on Enceladus at the speed of light, leaving her body on Earth.
She told the space agency to download her AI servant into her empty brain after she departs. The AI servant, which has accompanied her for years, will control and take care of her body during her absence.
However, during this time, her fiance found the AI servant to be a better wife because it's gentle, obedient and never loses its temper. He married with the AI in her body and have a child. He even successfully helped the AI claiming human rights in court, such that it can refuse to hand back its current body to the poor lady scientist.
I've actually been planning on writing a story with similar story beats to this idea!

ReplyDeleteYour latest caption about a mother/son swap where she makes a better man than him is right up my alley, really fond of the distress and the sinking feeling of inadequacy the guy feels, and I was wondering if you were interested in tackling something similar.
I'm picturing a sibling swap, an older brother and his little sister, although they should be relatively close in age. Now most older brothers are gealous of their little sisters, but in this case the guy has a hard time admitting to himself that what he feels for her is actually closer to envy, because despite her being the younger sibling ever since they got through their adolescence she seemed to better get ahead in life compared to him, not only in the dating game, in which he is pathetically inept, but also becoming a much better adjusted adult than him.
After the swapping incident they help each other adjusting to their new situation, and they grow close, kinda echoing the bond they shared when they were kids. But as time goes by once again the sister seem to be better off than him and more capable of getting her life back on track, hitting the gym to get his former body in good shape and stuff like that. This should culminate in her getting in a relationship with her best friend, who the protagonist always secretly harbored a crush towards he never had the guts to actualize. I'm picturing him seething with envy and frustration as he hears his sister in his former body having sex with his crush, achieving the life he dreamed for himself while he is still stuck as his miserable self only in a different body, shaking in resentment and yet unable to resist the urge to masturbate as he succumbs to his new alien urges.
While that would already make for a good climax (no pun intended) as I picture this scenario ideas of where to take the story next just keep flowing. I imagine after the realization that his sister makes a better man than himself he would become determined to do the same, only to realize how inept he still is, feeling mortified about having to ask anyone he knows out when they know his situation. Growing more desperate, he resorts to stealing his sister phone looking for the phone number of a guy he knows she used to have occasional casual sex with, thinking a complete stranger who had a past with his sister would be a perfect fit. Maybe he is aware of his situation and the brother opens up with him venting his frustration, and the guy seem to be understanding all the while in actuality just thinking he landed himself a very vulnerable and inexperienced chick he can handle however he wants. Maybe he makes him blow him all the while teasing him with phrases like “Come on, don't be shy. You want to be a girl now, don't you? I bet your sis is licking pussy like a champ right now”. Stuff like that.
I actually tried to write something like this but I had a hard time juggling all the emotions, so I hope an external perspective on the idea and a talented writer could make something good out of it. Please consider my request submission.

DeleteAnd I'm glad you enjoy power dynamics, that's my favorite idea to explore. Whether it be an animal or robot taking advantage of new human capabilities or a man or woman taking advantage (or being taken advantage of) is just so titillating in the right circumstances.
That's probably why I gravitated towards a blowjob when I imagined the scenario with the new BF. Being the active actor in the intercourse while taking a completely submissive role, getting no real physical pleasure out of it but only the feeling of making your partner feel good, looking up to him and knowing you are completely his, I think really emphatizes the "loss of status" from the male to the female role. I'm absolutely crazy about it, and personally gets me going more than more outlandish concepts like animal swaps (although your caps do a great job at highlighting the powerlessness of the human so they are consistently engaging for me).

But the spell goes wrong and they all end up in the body of one busty female prison worker. They each have control of only one of her limbs and shared control of the head, so their lack of coordination causes a lot of problems as they continue their escape attempt.

I have also another idea. But This is far longer.
In the Empire of Ektemer, ruled by the evil ruler of the dark elf Gendarh, in one of the principalities of the Empire, the principality of Esaba, a revolt broke out by Prince Briceus, this prince, although famous for his great love for his subjects, just as the entire kingdom was full of contempt for inhuman races. The rebellion was finally suppressed, and the prince brought before the ruler, he was ready to die, but Gendarh prepared something worse, used powerful magic to turn him into an elf. Shocked, Briceus tried to recall his name but he could not, he was still able to say that he was a prince, so he could not pronounce the name. Then the ruler said he was now called Poenea. And suddenly he was able to say the name, only it wasn't his. Then a familiar face entered, his trusted general Samani. And it was he who betrayed him during the battle. The overlord said that "Poenea" was a gift to the new dynasty of the Dynasty of Esaba, and that the former prince is now an elf, his punishment, instead of decades, would last several centuries, almost 400 years. Taken to his former castle, he served him, then his to his sons, grandchildren and their descendants, as a sex toy, a dancer, a maid and many other humiliating things. prince, of course, no one believed it, and after the aristocracy of the princes, there were many stories and jokes about a mad elven slave claiming to be the slain prince Briceus. when he was handed over to his son Samani, he lived longer than before, and his masculine name and his time as a prince began to eat up the sands of time, and as the centuries went on, people knew much better Poenea than a prince from a fallen and forgotten humiliated dynasty and lost war which almost ruined Princedom.

Wow, sounds like you put a lot of work into this idea! I do like the idea of a poor royalty living forever in some immortal whores body to be abused and forgotten, may end up using that concept in the future. But no promises <3

Needless to say the guy gets a little too carried away in his new temporary body, so as when he gets back he has to find excuses to delay the swap back as long as possible in order to hide the soreness of her body, the smell of sex all over her, the distinct aftertaste of spunk in her mouth, and a distinct pain in her butt

Part1
Bethany stared in the mirror, still unable to locate herself, almost 6 months have passed since the storm caused her to swap bodies with her 58 years old grandmother Gladys. Neither of them knew how. While Gladys was pleased with the change, Beth was not. She had to live in an older body, feel pain in her bones, couldn't do many things she wanted to do. She had to address her mother "daughter" and play the meek grandmother. And on top of that, there was this headache lately. Gladys said she would do what she could, but she obviously took the opportunity to be young while Bethany had to live an older life. She visited her more and more. less often, recently a month ago. She had enough of it. Suddenly, on her old phone (now her) grandma saw a profile update. Her body kissing some nerd. She couldn't take it anymore, she called her grandmother and threatened to reveal the truth, her pressure was rising and suddenly the headache worsened and she passed out.
Part2
Gladys was celebrating her 19th birthday, Beth or rather hers. It's been a year since they turned bodies. And it was great. She had her youth for a short time, as she became pregnant as a teenager, and her parents did not allow her to have an abortion. It was safer now. At first she wanted to keep her word and try to find a way to come back. However, she fell in love with this young body and modern fashion. Within a year, she already had 10 boys and hoped to break the record. She felt sorry for her granddaughter, now she is in the hospital after a stroke and is unable to speak. Doctors estimate her recovery to be a 50% chance. On the other hand, maybe it's better. During the last conversation, she threatened to say everything. Not that anyone would believe her. But there is always a possibility. And so she could enjoy life to the fullest, without much worry. What fate gave her.
Part3
It's been over 4 months since birthday. Gladys was in Beth body on vacation. In the last 2 days of being here, I managed to score 3 boys, 2 of which in a quadrangle with one girl. She was enjoying life. She heard Beth in her body begin to heal. However, she suffers from memory lapses and sometimes she thinks she is Beth, the doctors are trying to help her, so even if her granddaughter recovers in her body, she will think she is her. It made Gladys happy, I don't want Beth dead, and I don't want to risk going back to her old body either. And so Beth will be alive and well, even though she won't remember who she is. She just noticed a nice cookie, with a girl, nice too. Picking them up for one night will be hard, but not impossible. And with those thoughts, Gladys headed for the beach. To be continued?

DeleteI'm curious, how important is the f2f aspect to you? I'm generally more interested in m2f (so grandfather/granddaughter in this case).
I only ask because I only write these stories whenever the whim strikes me, requests are more of a shared brainstorming for me than anything else - and I usually end up changing many aspects from the original request.
I would prefer to stay with grandmother and granddaughter. Personally, I think that FTF is generally not enough. Plus the idea I took a little from Skeleton Key, where the change occurs between the elder and the younger. I have a similar opinion when it comes to amendment to animals or especially with fantasy or a middle ages that I do not see too much. I even have plans to create a series What would be if Greatshift was in the fantasy world

ReplyDeleteFallout from the Great Shift, all the members of a family have been hit, the parents shifting into younger bodies of the same sex, while the son has shifted into a woman about the same age as the mom's new body. The parents are having a blast living out their new youth, while the son is struggling to adapt to his new life, and it does not help that his mom is slowly starting to treat him more and more like a best friend rather than a son. The real kicker: the son is starting to fall for his dad!
I really really really love this dynamic, and would love to you tackle it if you feel so inclined. Cheers! Keep up the great work!

He is heartbroken because he assumed that given their situation they would have stayed together, but she's telling him that he can't realistically expect to be together forever solely because of the accident and that it is time to move on, and as she's trying to cheer him up a little telling him he will be fine she ends up belittling him remarking how he did not make much of a man anyway and he will be much better off as a girl, and since she figured he would not like to be alone as a farewell gift she gives him a tinder account she made for him

ReplyDeleteI'd love to see another bodyswap caption where the man is stuck with the short end of the stick in the transaction. Specifically where the guy's temperament makes him a better fit for his new body despite his protests. I was thinking of one from the woman's point of view where she watches in amusement as her cousin squirms in her old body. She talks with her previous mom about how drastically she changed. Going from wild and untameable to quiet and submissive. His cousin lives it up in his body in the US while he is left to play the part of housewife in another country. A year ago, he went to visit his family abroad and they somehow swapped, intentionally or by accident up to u. Now the capable 18 year old from America was stuck as a dumb curvy broad in a foreign country(and a decade older to boot).
There could even be a part 2 where she takes no issue in continuing to torment her cousin through text. Her cousin is obviously still hopeful that they'd swap back somehow someday. But she makes it clear that won't be the case anymore...

Glad you liked it. Most TG content likes to depict males coming out on top in a trade of fates. I think there is a lot left unexplored, or rather ignored, when it comes to trading lives with a female. There is something about losing most agency, intelligence, and physical prowess while the other party gets it all for themselves that gets to me. A lot of caps just assume the man would be happy with all that.
DeleteMy favorite works of yours are the ones where the guy can do nothing but watch as the girl performs much better in his body than he could have himself. I have various ideas for stories that fall within that realm. Wish I had the skills to write them myself, but I can never get the dialogue to feel natural. Happy to see you enjoy those themes too!

I think I might end up going for Asian models, probably Korea - because I think it would complement the story well haha. I've got a couple ideas that I think would fit well - like the new woman's parents telling her how she needs to find a rich successful man like her cousin or something haha - might be a while before I get to it though!
